Baby goats
Sunday when I went by Rebecca’s to pick up my kids, there was hay, goat droppings, and pee under the kitchen table.
This is not normal.
The kids explained that Molly had given birth there during the night, a male and a female. Since it was pouring rain, she had been kept in the kitchen until it was over.
So I went out to the pen to see them.
The spotted one is female. Sorry, my phone and the goats all moved while I took this next one. Take a look at their tiny, tiny hooves.

@windupherskirt - They’re fixing to keep the female. You kin have the male cheap, but he’s got hardly no spots atall.

Funny that fist sentence on any other blog would be scary…but here it is slightly comforting…
D’awwww…. I love goats! The babies are impossibly cute. I love how they prance around.

@youandwhosearmy - ”slightly comforting”?

Those are absolutely adorable babys and mama.
Awesome goats! Thanks for the sub by the by. Trying to work my way out of a writing funk.
Have given thought to goats here too. Used to have sheep, but shearing wool from a small herd is so impractical. Do you milk these, and how does it compare to cows?
Cute baby goats. Aren’t they friendly animals? there are 2 goat farms in the hamlet where we live. More goats than people live round here (and the goats seem to be very very friendly towards people, whereas the people…) C’est la vie as we say in France

These goats are pretty friendly, especially the new kids. Too bad about your neighbors…
@prairiecowboy -
They don’t milk the sheep. they use the goat’s milk for everything. My kids love coming to my house and drinking cow’s milk. I can’t usually tell the difference except when they’re making cheese and the house stinks.
