Don’t know why this made me laugh so hard
My sister commented on this photo on Facebook the other day, and what she wrote made me cackle with glee. To get the full effect you would have to be familiar with her bossy tone and her tendency to toss off imperious pronouncements of opinion. Her comment is below the photo:
No sé por qué este comentario que hizo mi hermana en Facebook me hizo reir tanto. Para sentir todo el efecto tendrías que conocer su tono de mandona y su manera de vociferar sus opiniones con mucha convicción. El comentario está debajo de la foto:

“Who is this person? Looks like Jesus holding a (would be) sheep, but the nice thing is that it’s actually a goat, who, according to Jesus, is to be condemned for self-centeredness. But here, the goat is being embraced, which I take as a fortuitous sign.”
“Quién es esta persona? Parece ser Jesús, abrazando lo que pareciera ser una oveja, pero lo bueno es que realmente es una cabra que, según Jesús, ha de ser maldito por egoísta. Pero en este caso, está abrazando a la cabra, lo cual me parece un signo fortuito.”

Heh. Didn’t make me laugh… but I appreciated the reminder of grace. I needed that.
is she trying to tell us what we “see” …
lol. imagining it in the context you cited made me laugh. i wonder how far off my image was…
@Passionflwr86 - Grace is good. I’m glad for the reminder myself.
@ThePrince - No idea. Probably pretty close. The comment came out of the blue last Sunday; I had posted these pictures at the beginning of summer, and she just now looked through them.
@windupherskirt - I’m not sure what she was doing. It was just out of the blue.
It is an unusual picture. Didn’t make me laugh though.
@C_L_O_G - Yeah, it wasn’t so much the picture as my sister’s comment, and a lot of that was knowing what she sounds like.
I like goats, and Jesus IS alright with me…((laughing)). Thinking I would probably like your sister, too – she’s a bit like you ((LAUGHING)) only funnier… ;o)
@Roadkill_Spatula -
I thought it might be one of those ‘you had to be there’ moments.
@Harpos_Mark - She’s probably funnier. A lot more outgoing. She can write real poetry, and play a guitar, and her Spanish is better than mine. I can beat her at ping-pong, though.
@Roadkill_Spatula - Bring her along when you come to visit. (It’s snowing!!!) heh. muah.
I think I get it.
Looks like Jesus’ hair is thinning on top. Who knew?
It just goes to show that goats need love too.
Jesus condemned goats for self-centeredness??
Aw! I love my bebe goats like this too.
So you have fat cats, huh?
@peacefulmeadow -
It never shows in the paintings because he keeps his head up.
@Donkey_Guy_10 -
I have a 25-pounder. Are you hungry?
@ordinarybutloud -
In Matthew 25, he describes a judgment scene in which the “sheep” are divided from the “goats” and the latter are condemned for not taking care of the poor, sick, prisoners, etc.
@zionlover -
We forget that sometimes.
@CrunchyMountainMomma -
Goats can be amazingly affectionate, especially the kids.
ha…there is a regular holy battle transpiring over there…
@HereLiesNelsontheGreat - God loves the goats too. Unfortunately they don’t love him.
Now that made me laugh,I can picture a bossy sister saying that I have one myself.
