  • Stroller for quints

The Jones quints, born in Dallas last fall, are grandchildren of a friend who taught at the high school I attended in Colombia.

I don’t know the girl pushing the stroller, but Lynee, the lady on the right (if you can see the whole photo), was in high school with me.

You can track the quints’ progress at the Jones family blog. Four are doing well at home. Seth is still dealing with respiratory and digestive problems. Hence the empty seat at the rear of the stroller.

Quote from the blog: “We ordered the Runabout stroller from Roger Berg at www.bergdesign.net via email and phone. He and his crew will make strollers to hold as many or as few babies as you want.”

  • That is one cool stroller but oh man taking care of all of those precious blessings is more than I could handle.

  • that’s a bunch o babies….precious babies

  • Holy crap! Makes me think of the movie “The Backup Plan,” but they just had three, or maybe it was two. I can’t imagine pushing that huge stroller around. I bet it ticks people off at the mall!

  • @whyzat - I don’t think they’ve taken them to the mall. Their health is still a little touchy, since they were born way premature. You should see their newborn pictures. Talk about tiny!

  • @Grannys_Place - They get a lot of help from volunteers. They just found out that Seth, the one in the hospital, has maxed out their health insurance. I don’t know what that means long term. I think the hospital is working with them.

  • @mlbncsga - Babies with animal hats. Someday they may resent it. Today’s post on their blog shows them dressed up in tuxes for their big brother’s birthday.

  • i’m not gonna lie, that’s one pretty cool stroller!

  • When I was practicing medicine, I had a patient who delivered triplets, and she would bring them into the office for check ups. The nurse and I would almost collapse after dealing with three little ones at the same time. I felt a great deal of concern for the mother who did it all. The husband had night shifts and slept during the day. I do not want to think how life with quints will be in a home! Hope the fifth baby does very well and is up and about soon.

  • That is a really impressive looking stroller.  Best wishes go out from my heart to that family, and especially to Seth.

  • @ZSA_MD - My four kids were spaced two years apart, so there was always someone in diapers for eight years. I often thought it would be a lot easier if I took my retirement in my 30s when I needed it rather than my 70s. Can’t imagine five kids in diapers, five three-year-olds, five preschoolers, five kindergartners…

  • @l0311879l - It ought to have chrome stacks and flames painted along the sides.

  • Merciful heavens!
